After much thought, I’ve decided to put together an intermediate course, following my beginner course. With much preparation, I was able to produce a second course that will further help students in illustration.

In this course, we go over the basics of illustration then transition to more complex elements such as shapes, proportions, symmetry and inclination of the human body. Then, we will attach human muscle figure segmentation, facial expressions, and clothing - nearing a more complete and detailed character illustration.

After learning concepts of natural muscles, we will transition to color conversion. Students will learn the basics of coloring, various tools and layers, and the properties of different filters. You will eventually be able to control the tones of the desired area and brightness from the black and white mass source.

Next, we will learn facial expressions and how they affect facial structures. You will be able to consider differences in facial shapes and ratios based on the kind of expression. I will provide examples based on what characters students like the most along the way!

After that, we will start learning about clothing. It is important to note that the intricacy of clothing designs is not what gives clothes value - it is rather the opposite! Even with a simple white tee and jeans, a beautiful character can be illustrated. That is why it is critical to first be able to draw clothes naturally. Students will easily be able to implement different designs that combine textures and structures.

Lastly, we will learn the 3D sketch process. Based on what we have learned up until this point, students will be able to draw a standing character illustration. You will be able to illustrate your favorite characters with 3D elements. Students will be able to apply dynamic poses, silhouettes, weapons, and other effects!
