Start your journey as an artist with free digital drawing
I majored in pedagogy, not art. I started working as a hobby while working, and now that time has accumulated, and now I am pursuing painting as a job. That's why I am always studying how to teach effectively. I know the hearts of those who are new to painting better than anyone else. Let me help you.
Why Adobe’s Photoshop Sketch?
Adobe Sketch, a free app, is made up of basic tools that are relatively easy to use, and is especially recommended for beginners of digital drawing. And if you have when it comes to adding color, you will like it more. The basic palette is also stylish and consists of various colors, so color combinations are easy. Also, brushes that mimic analog texture are a part of the standard set
Digital drawing is not as difficult as you think
Bought an iPad to draw, but don’t know where to start? Once you get used to it, you will be immersed in the charm of digital drawing, which makes it easy to draw anywhere.
Don't be afraid to make mistakes anymore. Unlike on paper, digital drawing is recommended for beginners because you can easily fix mistakes. You can draw freely with your favorite colors and textures
Here’s what you’ll learn
First, get acquainted with Photoshop Sketch
First, let's explore the Photoshop Sketch interface. From preparing the canvas, learn how to select and adjust the basic menu and brushes. Next, I'll help you create your own palette full of colors that you like.
Second, draw with the colored pencil brush
The colored pencil brush works well with any picture! IIt goes well with small object illustrations, and it’s the best tool for creating detailed patterns. I will start by teaching you simple coloring techniques that are easy to learn, and then we will try to draw small shops in a minimalist style and add some fun elements to the painting.
Third, draw with the acrylic brush
Acrylic is a wet tool that requires water and has a texture that emphasizes color and texture. The texture of the cream is especially good when drawing desserts, so it is perfect for drawing cakes. First, we will practice by drawing a croissant that can be completed with a really simple touch.
Next, I’ll show you how to draw a cup of coffee that goes well with sweet desserts with various toppings such as chocolate, strawberries, and blueberries. As the final part of this chapter, I'll show you how to draw cute lettering cakes that you can present on a special day. If you give a loved one a picture gift with a real cake, it becomes a special surprise!
Fourth, draw brunch illustrations
We have also prepared a brunch illustration chapter to help you make more use of bakery illustrations. I’ll help you create beautiful brunch illustrations that look so good you can almost taste them. You can add more to your drawing by decorating your plate with a simple pattern and color combination of dishes and food!
Draw a table on a special day that we enjoyed chatting with our friends. If you leave it in a drawing, you can document the memories of that time in a more special way. Painting helps to preserve the preciousness of everyday life.
Fifth, draw a beautiful vintage dress illustration
In addition to learning the texture of the tools, we also prepared a chapter to learn vintage color combinations and pattern drawings. Normally, I think floral patterns are difficult, but if you know a few ways, you will enjoy them and draw them :)
The reason I draw a dress is that it is relatively free in form and color combination compared to other clothes. Once you get used to drawing a dress, you can easily draw any clothes you wear. How about recording the daily look I wore today as a picture and keeping it small?
Sixth, draw with oil pastels
If you use real oil pastels, it will be very difficult to get off your hands, getting everywhere and creating a mess. Using the oil pastel brush in Photoshop Sketch, you can create oily pastel drawings with a unique texture. Learn about the texture of oil pastels while drawing a rattan basket and items, and draw in your favorite things in it while drawing a basket of various shapes.
Seventh, draw with a marker brush
Markers are a good tool to express various colors clearly, but the disadvantage is that it gets harder to use as you use more colors. The marker brush of Photoshop Sketch is almost the same color as actual markers, so you can realistically use whatever color you want! Color the background with markers and use the colored pencil brush to express the details.
Eighth, the town you love in an illustration
In the end, I will teach you to simplify objects by drawing illustrations of your favorite neighborhoods. Use all the brushes that you have learned so far and decorate freely by combining everything that we have drawn so far!
As a bonus! Printing your illustrations
The sad thing about digital drawing is that you can only see the drawings on a screen. I will tell you how to work with basic prints so that you can bring your illustrations to the real world. I will show you how to create products such as postcards, posters, stickers, t-shirts, eco bags, etc. Photoshop Sketch is easy to use with other Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator, making it easy to place orders! You can decorate your room with illustrations of your own.
Find your own style
Even if you draw the same picture with the same tools, it will be a little different depending on who paints it. The way you hold the tools is different, and the pressure you use is different. Even if you do exactly what I do, it is still your drawing. If you analyze my unique lines, colors and tastes, little by little, you will find your own style of painting. Painting doesn't need any special theory or skill.
Explore art and find your style.

Q. I have never drawn a picture. Will I be able to follow along well?
A. This is the most frequently asked question. Naturally, you can follow along well. You might think that you’ve never drawn a picture, but if you think about it, art is part of the regular curriculum, so you've probably drawn at least once in school. You probably think that I can't draw well because I couldn't follow the standardized art education. This course is specially designed to draw with a really simple touch, and it is for beginners, so you can take classes without worry.
Q. Is this a process that even newcomers to the iPad can hear?
A. This class is a class designed from a one-day workshop that has been conducted offline for over a year, with a reinforced curriculum. In my experience, some people come to the workshop and unbox their iPad, and others purchase Apple pencils on their way to the workshop. But everyone followed along well, and the satisfaction of my students was very high.
Q. I want to find my own painting style. Is it possible to find it through this class?
A. Some people think that if they follow an artist's style, they will not be able to find their own style. That is not true at all. Egoncille is a famous disciple of Klimt. However, both have their own styles and worlds of painting. In entrance examinations for art school, students practice many different paintings. I believe you can definitely find your own style through this class.
